Managing Your Time in PPC
General
Precise Petcare (aka PPC) is a third party scheduling system that Sniff and Go uses to manage daily operations.
There are two completely separate time clocks operating when you use PPC.
- Timesheet Clock – this is logging your work hours each day
- Visit Time Clock – this is logging the actual time you are in-service with a client
Clocking In/Out
How to Use the Timesheet Clock
When you select Arrived for the first visit of the day, the Timesheet Clock will automatically start.
- This can be confirmed by making sure the Timesheet Clock is showing a small green circle with :00 in the middle, on the top-right side of the screen in PPC. This time will continue to accrue as you go throughout your workday.
(in sample image, the Timesheet Clock is showing an accrued time of 1 minute)
How to Stop Timesheet Clock
- Select the small green circle, on the top-right side of the screen in PPC
- Select Clock Out
- Completely close the PPC app (on iPhone, see here for How to Close an App)
- The reason for closing out the app is to force an update in the app to show you are clocked out
When to Clock Out of Timesheet at the End of your Work Day
At the end of each day, please clock out after you have prepared for the next work day and completed your EOD.
Breaks and Lunches
Breaks and Lunches are scheduled into your work day. As you get more used to the routine, these can be flexible in timing, but do need to be completed for compliance reasons.
Employees are free to go where they want for breaks and lunches as long as the travel time to and from the destination is included in the break period. If you want to be specific about knowing when to clock in/out, you can physically place your body in front of the next scheduled visit location, then start your break at that point.
How to Complete a 10 Minute Paid Break
- Complete the walk before your Break
- Drive and park at your next scheduled walk location
- Select Arrived to start your Break
- Select Complete to end your Break
- Start your next scheduled walk
Breaks are paid time and do not require you to clock out at all.
How to Clock In/Out for Lunches
- Complete the walk before your Break
- Drive and park at your next scheduled walk location
- Select Arrived on the lunch visit in PPC
- Clock out using the small clock in the top right corner
- Close app (swipe up to fully close the app out)
- You will automatically be clocked back in when you select Arrived for your next scheduled visit

– Ensure you set aside enough time during your lunch break to travel/walk back to next scheduled walk location within 30 minutes

– You will automatically be clocked back in when you select Arrived for your next scheduled visit
If you do not want to travel somewhere to get lunch:
– Use the travel time from the visit before your Lunch Break to travel to the location of your next scheduled visit
– Clock out and start your lunch break
– Grab lunch

– If you do not make it back to the next scheduled visit location within the 30 minute lunch break time, you will need to remain off the clock until you are automatically clocked back in for your next scheduled visit
– You will automatically be clocked back in when you select Arrived for your next scheduled visit
