The Neighborhood

Dog walking in the Marina, San Francisco

The Marina is bright, breezy, and one of the most dog-friendly stretches of the city. Chestnut Street is the neighborhood's lively main strip, and Fillmore Street runs right through the heart of it with great energy and easy walking. Cow Hollow blends seamlessly into the mix, adding quieter residential blocks that our walkers love. Fort Mason and Marina Green sit right on the waterfront, and the Palace of Fine Arts is one of the most beautiful landmarks in all of San Francisco, a gorgeous backdrop for any walk.

Walks here are private, on-leash, and focused on the residential streets your dog already knows. The Marina is mostly flat, which makes for smooth, consistent routes that dogs settle into quickly. Housing ranges from classic Marina-style flats to modern condos, and we handle all the access details during onboarding so your walker is always ready to go from the moment they arrive.

Walking the Marina Block by Block

Private walks on the streets your dog already knows.

Private and on-leash, always

No off-leash zones, no destination expeditions, no other dogs in the picture. Just your dog, a trained walker, and the residential blocks around your home.

Flat and routine-friendly

The Marina's flat streets make daily routines easy on senior dogs and great for loose leash practice with younger ones. Same blocks, real progress over time.

Secure building practice

Mid-rise condos, doormen, coded garage entries. Our walkers are practiced with full-service building protocols and know how to keep your floor clean.

Marina FAQs

Common questions from Marina dog parents

Yes. The Marina is one of our regular service areas, with walkers covering the residential blocks around Chestnut Street, Marina Boulevard, Fillmore Street, and the surrounding streets Monday through Friday.
Walks happen on the residential streets right around your dog's home. We're not running destination expeditions to Crissy Field or the Presidio. Privacy and safety come first, which means short, structured walks on the blocks your dog already knows.
No. Every Sniff and Go walk is private, on-leash, and one-on-one. We don't take dogs into off-leash areas because we can't control what other dogs there will do. The focus is structured walking, sniff time, and loose leash skills around your block.
We set up access during onboarding. Most Marina clients use a coded entry, lockbox, or keys on file. We're comfortable with secure buildings, garage entries, and the mid-rise condos common throughout the neighborhood.
Membership plans start at ~$28 per walking day, billed monthly. Flex Walks for one-off needs start at $35 per visit. See our dog walking page for full pricing details.
