The Neighborhood

Dog walking in the Western Addition, San Francisco

The Western Addition is vibrant, historic, and one of the most characterful neighborhoods in the city. Divisadero Street and the Fillmore jazz corridor bring incredible energy, and Hayes Valley adds a chic, neighborhood warmth that makes every walk feel like a little adventure. Alamo Square is iconic, the Painted Ladies right there in full view, and the North Panhandle stretches out to the east with long, open blocks that are a dream for dogs who like to move.

Our walkers know these streets well and take care of everything, from building access to the best routes for your pup. Housing here is a gorgeous mix of Victorians, Edwardians, and classic SF flats, and we sort all the entry details out during onboarding so there are never any surprises on walk day.

Walking a Historic Central Neighborhood

Walks that use Alamo Square, Divisadero, and Fillmore for real variety.

Victorian-block routine

The Western Addition is dense with Victorians on quiet residential blocks. We use those streets to build a steady daily routine that works for dogs of every age and temperament.

Private and on-leash, always

No off-leash zones, no destination expeditions, no other dogs in the picture. Just your dog, a trained walker, and the residential blocks around your home.

Victorian and apartment access

Historic Victorians, mid-rise apartments, secure walk-ups. We handle the access details during onboarding so daily pickups stay simple regardless of building type.

Western Addition FAQs

Common questions from Western Addition dog parents

Yes. The Western Addition is a regular service area for us, with walkers covering routes around Alamo Square, Divisadero Street, Fillmore Street, and Hayes Street Monday through Friday.
Walks happen on the residential streets right around your dog's home. We're not running destination expeditions to Alamo Square or Hayes Valley. Privacy and safety come first, which means short, structured walks on the blocks your dog already knows.
Yes. Every Sniff and Go walk is private, on-leash, and one-on-one. We don't take dogs into off-leash zones because we can't control what other dogs there will do. The focus is structured walking on the residential blocks where your dog lives.
We set up access during onboarding. Most Western Addition clients use a coded entry, lockbox, or keys on file. We're comfortable with the historic Victorians, mid-rise apartment buildings, and walk-ups common throughout the neighborhood.
Membership plans start at ~$28 per walking day, billed monthly. Flex Walks for one-off needs start at $35 per visit. See our dog walking page for full pricing details.
